Extractor for car bodywork / welding

Hi guys, seem to be doing alot of car bodywork welding at the moment on some of my personal mk1 minis, already got a 16" axial fan mounted on the wall of the workshop to pull the grinding / welding fumes out but looking for something else as well now just to be safe.

Has anyone had any experience with the inline type that the likes of machine mart sell? Like this :

Or would i be better going with something line this:

At least with the hose type you can move / mount at the souce of the fumes depending on where you are working.

Can never have too much extraction.
Fume dust etc all have long term health implications. Why mock him for thinking of his health.

Depends where it's venting. If the doors part open and it's venting outside is it needed

If its pulling metal dust and sparks into the fan it's going to get a lot of build up on it.
