    Hi Everyone,

I appreciate there are a few topics on here regarding this subject but i have searched through the forum and haven't found the answer im after.

I'm currently looking at making an exhaust system for my rally car. To build it I'm after some mandrel bent tubes. The exhaust tube i wish to use is SS 304 2.5" (63mm) and 1.2 or 1mm wall thickness to keep weight down. At the moment I'm struggling to find off the shelf bends in 1.2mm wall thickness. Has anyone any suggestions or contact i could try as all i can find is 1.5mm stuff.

    Any help much appreciated.

I use Langys stainless bends but i think they're 1.5mm wall?
OJZ engineering should be able to help?
Google their phone no as i dont have it.

I'm sure they probably have tooling for thinner wall but OJZ only list 1.5mm wall on their site. I know you're looking for 304L but googling '321 mandrel bends' will get you more results for thin wall stuff (albeit many of 'em American). Crazy expensive compared to 304 but the companies that work with 321, inconels etc often do thinner wall 304 'off the shelf'. Chris Tullet exhausts for example offers 1.2 or 1.5mm wall in 304, like most exhaust specialists you pay a premium over 1.5mm 316L hygienic bends from a stainless stockholder or Langy though. Goodfabs is another potential source but depends how many you need as they have a £250 min order IIRC

316 dairy bends will be up to the job, and easy to get hold of
