Hello. I've got a clarke 150t and i managed to melt my torch in an accidental indoor bonfire. I've done most of a euro torch conversion on it - all I have left to do is wire and plumb in a gas valve/solenoid.
The instructions I got with the kit say to use the connections from the transformer to rectifier - the kit comes with a 42Vac solenoid.
The vendor insists this is the way to do it because the lower output voltage is better, and he doesn't stock 240V solenoids. The internet however says use a 240V solenoid because the transformer output is variable voltage.
I've messaged him to confirm that it's the 2 terminals at the bottom of this pic that I should use, but he's gone quiet on me.
Any advice would be appreciated.
