this is my first post on this site, I’ve been reading a lot of the posts but nothing seems to be answering my question
I’m in the market for a ungraded welder, currently using a sealey 180 mig bought it used 2 years ago and has served me well
I’m slowly setting a fabrication business up mainly focusing on gates, railings security grills and acrcultural implements such as feeding pens, stables and cattle grids.
I’ve been welding steel between 1mm sheet upto 16mm round bar for my security grills but I’m wanting to learn ally tig, I don’t do nothing structural and if I’m welding upto 16mm it’s nothing more than solid round bar so short intervals.
I’m on a single phase power supply with 16amp sockets wired into my workshop
So my question is what benefits will I get with the Esab rebel ac/dc as apose to the standard Esab rebel.
My budget is £2000 very max so I could afford the 235 but if you don’t think I need that then I would rather save and get the 215
