Seen a few projects on here that were made using ERW steel
Not heard of it prior and done a bit of looking on net
Apart from a smaller seam, lighter weight and availability in thinner wall thickness's is there any advantage over standard box section?
And is it still reasonably strong? Asking as it might make for a much lighter gate I'm thinking of making, probably next spring tho.
Notice Brundles do 25mm square box with 1.5mm wall in ERW. Would it be too weak for a 6ft by 30 inch metal and wood gate? Trying to reel in a tendancy to over do metal sizes i use.
