I've got a Myford lathe that I use all the time, and a wee Emco Unimat that I bought recently, just because 2 lathes are better than one. I've never used it much, mainly cos its got no on and off switch. Also, the original motor is long gone, and its built on top of a cabinet housing a huge motor (bigger than the Myford) and 3 sets of pulleys to control the speed.
Its an interesting wee curiosity, but What I'd like to do it get it off the cabinet, and make it portable - with a smaller motor and some kind of speed controller.
Anyone know how I'd go about it?
