Electric polishers

Hello, 30 odd years ago I bought a Stayer polisher. It is fixed speed.
Is there a way of slowing it down or should I buy a new DA polisher with variable speed?

Lidl had rotary ones in recently, but only one was needed.
So I have a 'spare' BNIB one in storage. If you want it for the price I paid, plus P&P, you are welcome.
Let me check it's variable speed before committing.

I bought this one from eBay 10 years ago or so, it cost £1 shipped. Works great, probably no longer available but there will be lots like it on eBay.

I remember building something similar as part of my electronics module as an apprentice in the 70's.
