Electronics dont ya just love em, out on site this morning, loads of bitty repair jobs to get done and the inverter goes bang, annoying to say the least, luckily the customer has a little Parweld set so the job got finished, Its a Draper 160 bought from another forum member about a year ago, and up till now has been a cracking little set. a bit of investigation shows it has blown a capacitor on one of the boards, centre of picture the leg has blown clean off
If I can match it up its worth replacing it and hope thats the only damage, if not I guess its scrap, The cap has some numbers on it, 102, and A1J, anyone know what the value and type might be ?, the machine still lights up, fan runs and gas valve clicks so I'm hoping its fixable
The only consolation if it cant be fixed was the expression on the face of the lad standing next to it when it blew, said he thought it was a gunshot, and didn't know whether to duck or run
