Had a nice little delivery today, A draper 40 amp plasma,
Arrived at about 11, and running 20 minutes later, Just minimal assembly needed, fit the filter / reg to the back, whack a plug on it a few hose connections and its done.
It has the look of a BMW Here
Micky mouse Ikea flat pack shield included, wont be using that, a headshield in grinding mode is just about right for plasma cutting.
That trigger looks a bit vulnerable, and its only fixed on with a couple of cable ties and is a bit loose, so a couple of turns of insulating tape were used here, I think I may be ordering a tig torch switch ready for when this gets knocked off.
First cuts, freehanded on the first piece of stainless out of the bin, I'm using this with a little 22 litre compressor, and it actually keeps up with the air requirements fairly well for shortish cuts, I do have an add on receiver I can use to increase the stored air if it runs out of puff.
Straight to work then, cut a few holes out in a stainless that job I'm working on, just marked out with dividers and freehanded,
Bit of a clean up and they are good to go, saved a lot of time over doing them with a holesaw.
So I am very pleased it it for the money, set up nice and easy, it comes with a few electrodes and tips, all you need extra is a plug, some ptfe tape for the air connections and a fitting to suit your own air supply.
Big thanks to @Tom Orrow L for a very fast service and a decent price too.
