i had a stairlift installed last year, "professionally" installed, but I'm not so sure now...
they installed a second CU, but rather than splicing the meter tails with a henley, theyve done this:
connected a second feed directly to the output of the mcb on the main CU.
looking at the board, i can *sort of* understand why - the meter tails run through a hole, up the back of a board and in through the back of the main CU
it''s going to be a complete PITA to wire in a henley, possibly meaning taking the whole board off the wall to thread it through.
but...
my question is...
is this acceptable? regulations wise?
and if so, could i add my 32A garage feed in the same way?
sort of! not all fastened into the same screw terminal, but from a henley block.
but AFTER the MCB from the main CU?
