hello all, I am new to the forums and new to welding, this is a great site
I have just got a 2nd hand Sealey 150/5 super mig, the thread in the swan neck bit where the contact tip screws in is a bit damaged (looks like the torch has been dropped at some point) and I can't screw the contact tip in all the way (have to use a spanner to screw it in at all and it protrudes a bit from the end of the gas shroud). The welder still works so not sure if it makes a difference. Does it matter if the contact tip stands proud of the gas shroud?
Can anyone give any advice on how to fix the problem? I cannot find anywhere that stocks the new part on the web, it is part number 120/722078.
Thanks in advance
