Hi all.
I'm having some difficulty finding some contact tips which will fit the MIG gun on my Stamos 175 combined welder.
I've tried a set of Clarke Industrial tips and they come close but don't properly fit. Beyond a single turn I need to use pliers and too much force to get them secure and even then they don't fully seat.
Today I've received a couple of MB14 tips from Ebay after assuming the previous tips I got from Machine Mart may have been MB15 size. Sadly the MB14 thread is far too loose.
I feel a bit stuck as the Clarke Industrial tips seem too tight and the MB14 ones are too loose.
The website where I purchased the welder sell a spares kit, but even so they don't list my machine as suitable, and that kit sells for £30 and includes parts I don't need.
I'd like to be able to use tips I can get locally, such as at Machine Mart or purchase quickly online through stores or Ebay.
Could someone please offer some guidance on what I should try next; whether trying another tip size/design or replacing the swan neck - not sure what one I'd need. Any ideas would be welcome and appreciated.
Thanks
