i'm going to be building a new furnace to melt some aluminium.
after a cost/convenience calculation, i've decided that red diesel is going to be best for me at the moment:
easier to store than charcoal.
easier to transport than lpg.
easier to source than WVO.
I may add veg oil if i can get any cheaper than the 70p/l i pay for red diesel.
i'm going to use a "pipe in a pipe" burner: air from a blower through the outer pipe, fuel through the inner.
ive used + built one before, using old engine oil, so i'm familiar with use- and ive got the bits!
is there anything specific i need to know about using diesel?
