Well, all technology breaks down and glitches, don't see why this should be any different ...
Besides they'll bring out a new model every year or so and people will upgrade before that happens

They've been around a while, I know someone that bought one about 2-3 years ago from the initial test batch on kickstarter and it's still going. He loves it, makes gears and all sorts with it.
