Hello everyone
First post here...
I'm looking for some advice on cutting mild steel sheet. Thickness between 0.8 and 4mm (plate) but predominately 2 to 3mm sheet. The plate and thin stuff is more on an ad hoc basis. Shapes will be varying sizes and dimensions with both straight edges and curves.
In previous attempts I've used a jigsaw with cutting oil or a grinder with cutting discs. Both are ok at best, despite going slow and letting the disc/ blade do the work I've chewed through multiple replacements and neither are particularly great at the tighter curves. I'm considering investing in a nibbler. Does anyone have any experience with one, especially this one from stakesys? https://www.stakesys.co.uk/en4-sheet-metal-nibbler-230-volt
Or have any other advice or tool recommendations on how best to make these cuts. Oh might add unfortunately a plasma cutter isnt an option due to studio restrictions. Thanks for any help! Will
