Hello newbie here first post so please be gentle
I recently bought a beetle that needs lots of panels to be replaced, i was going to buy a mig welder but my neighbour spotted the beetle and has lent me his which is a weldspares mig 100 Max 80amps min 35amps with two power settings, now is this suitable as reading some articles on this site they say 25-30amps for thin steel i..e body work.
Next question I bought a load of bits and pieces to start practicing but as soon as I connected up the gas bottle it just completely emptied, after taking the cover off it appears the tube from the regulator was just blowing in the wind, now it plugs into a larger diameter pipe but there is no way of securing it i.e jubilee clip is this right??? as I have already lost £8 worth of gas and don't want to waste anymore!!
I thinks that it for now thanks in advance
