Got a couple of contracts on the go at the moment being erected
First is a new build for Mercedes workshop. Not sure about the black paint, sure shows up all the marks (like muddy footprints )
Second was on one of my jobs, my erector rang up to say the curved eliptical beam ( spliced into 4 parts) was not fitting, there was about a 500mm gap. As a drafty , the heart goes for a second , thinking oh sheesh what have I done wrong, before realising, no its not me , it can only be a fabrication error
Anyway, I said get me a photo, and in the meanwhile I mocked up what I thought the problem was and sent a screenshot to him.......pretty close I reckon
The fabricator had put a Y end instead of X , and with it being an elipse , made all the difference.
