Hi, so I'm doing some restoration work on my Celica GT4 and I'm just curios about brush type electroplating.
I'll be bringing parts of the shell back to bare metal and protecting them. The current plan is 2k epoxy primer onto the bare steel and then a couple of dinitrol coatings on top of that.
But I'm just wondering about brush plating onto the bare steel first, does it give good enough adhesion to then act as the substrate for the rest of the paint? just to give the finished product a bit of extra protection. Or will it just be overkill considering the strength of the other coatings (although I'm not concerned if it's overkill, as long as it doesn't cause problems in the long run).
