Ive got some copper sheet from an old hot water cylinder. It’s quite badly tarnished. I need a few small bits for a project and need it clean and polished up.
I’ve tried going thro grades of wet n dry then polishing up. It works but is time consuming.

I’ve put a sheet about 200mm square into some vinegar over night but nothing has happened.
Anyone know of any recipes for removing the tarnish so it’s easier to polish up?
