cool box faulty

my 12v cool box will only work off 240v,the 12v won't ,I've been given a new peltier ,but wondered if anything else replaceable can also malfunction on the 12v circuit.

Is the 240V input direct to the coolbox, or is there a separate, "lump in a cable" type power supply? The 240V will be converted to 12V, so the Peltier device is probably not at fault. Check the fuse in the cigarette lighter plug.

And the fuse supplying the cig lighter socket. Had a dodgy plug take that one out before.

It will be necessary to trace what happens to the 12V supply after it goes into the coolbox in order to find out where the circuit it broken. If further help is needed, photos of the wiring and/or PCB would be useful. The make and model might help, too.
