I currently have an 'own goods' commercial policy on the van (I own anything I carry now until the customer pays) and the renewal is due. So I thought I'd make the change for later in the year when I may need to collect someone's machine, or drop something back to someone. Apparently that counts as haulage which adds an additional £250 a year to the policy.
It did cross my mind to chance it, but you can guarantee I'd have an accident whilst returning a machine which resulted in Doris getting kebabed in her Micra.
