Hi
I am fed up with the disposable gas bottles, they only seem to last five minutes with my Clark Weld MIG100E. The regulator has to be turned up to maximum to get any gas out of it, but I can't find any leaks. I have decided to use a pub co2 gas bottle.
Am I right in thinking that co2 regulators have female threads and co2/Argon regulators have male threads? is it the same regulator but with different thread fittings? Can you use one with the other?
Also, how do I connect it to my Clark Weld MIG100E? do I leave the small clear pipe connected to the welder and connect to it via an adapter? or will I have to dismantle the welder to remove the small pipe and connect the larger dia somehow?
I understand that a twin gauge regulator has the bottle pressure on the left and outgoing pressure on the right, but what pressure should I be using?
Please forgive my ignorance, but I am just a learner!
LOL
