I have a cheap ebay special knife sharpening jig that uses 4 various stones.
The instructions mention using oil as a lubricant but the knives i use have wooden handles so i use water as a lubricant to stop oil getting into the wood.
The stones are now all 'dirty' and clogged with metal so i need to clean them. They are that clogged that they are now all smooth and dont have any effect on the knives
What is the best way to do it? Diamond stone? Or can i soak them in something to flush them out?
