Putting back together an old CB750 and the tank is gummed up with ancient crust dried up fuel varnish stuff.
Tempted to fill it full of cellulose thinners with a load of nuts and bolts give it a good rattle around and leave overnight. The thinners should take care of the varnish but will it easily destroy the old paintwork if it leaks out?
