Clarke CBS45MD bandsaw problem

Hello folks. i bought a well worn saw of ebay a while back now.i then bought a
bimetal blade for it. this blade is always coming off. ive been told to reface
both wheels that the blade runs on but my blade has completely broken now.
with perfectly good teeth so what is wrong with it or would this happen with a new clarke saw any help please cheers ocean

There is a bit of info in this thread. I think it is a common problem and needs a bit of time to set up the wheels and guide rolls etc, even with brand new machines.

Wozzaaah has a "book" dealing with this in his "library"

I've got one of these saws and have similar probs but have not got round to setting it up yet....maybe in the next 5 years

I had similar problems with an old bandsaw. I fiddled with the wheel alignments and rollers and got it so it worked but would still jump off if the load was too high. It was cured eventually by me finding an indentical but newer model damaged on a demolition site and robbing the whole top off that one and mixing spares to get a working machine. It's been great so far.

Looks like the guide wheels might have been running too tight, there seems to be lots of wear to the side of the blade.

Try another blade before you condem the saw, I have had about 7 blades through my vertical bandsaw, and one of them refused to cut straight, came off the wheels etc. I tried adjustment and alignment thinking the saw had gone out of skew, but then I gave up and fitted another new blade, and it went back to tracking perfectly straight and staying on...
I still can't see what was up with the bendy blade, but...
