Hi there everyone,
I'm completely new to the world of welding.
Having missed out on a college course for welding this year, I've decided I'm gonna try to teach myself with the help of this amazing website and a few other books.
I think I'm going to buy a Clarke 151TE (Turbo) MIG Welder from machine mart for £225.
I want to know though:
1 - Will this run off my 13 amp mains without any problems?
2 - Will I be able to upgrade the regualtor at a later date to fit big gas cylinders? as opposed to the little dinky cans.
3 - I'll be welding mainly flat bar steel and box section tubing as well as sheet and possibly aluminium sheets inthe future. The thickness of the metal will mainly be about 3-5mm (steel) - So, will this welder be ok?
I think thats all I need to know for the time being.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Much appreciated,
Ben.
