can anyone tell me how to replace the liner in a clark 165te im in the position of having a paice of broken wire inside the liner with no wire showing at ether end, also on a connected topic my wire keeps breaking at the drum side of the feed roller (15kg drum) and due to my inexpirance im dont know if i have the drum to tight, or to slack allowing it to run on when i lift the trigger then snatch when i press it again as this is when it tends happen, any help would be most welcome, vin.

Hi,
do you have a new liner? If not, send a PM to Weldequip on here and he'll post you one. It'll be cheaper than high street shops.
When I changed mine some time ago I unscrewed the torch, unscrewed the liner clamp at the welder end, attached the new liner to the old one with insulation tape and pulled it through.
Getting the drum right isn't too difficult, Loose enough that you can easily turn it by hand but not so that it runs on when you shove it. Is the wire coming off the top of the drum so it lines up with the rollers? Do you have a spring between the tightening knob and the drum?
