After cleaning the chassis of my project car, I want a hardwearing 2k paint that can be rollered and is either gloss or semi gloss. Any recommendations?
Just finished the chassis on my Mk1 Escort restoration. I gave the chassis a coat of acid etch (many use epoxy now but im old skool) grey striped the seams then a coat of raptor. Its a 2k with a satin finish, over paintable if you wish and stays elastic so unlike stone chip, wont chip off.

Newbie question here:
Can an acid etch primer be applied over light surface rust (no loose rust, just rusty) followed by a coat of Raptor, or will the rust eventually bleed through?
The steel trailer chassis that I'm painting has a lot of rust and old paint on it. I'm not prepared to take it down to the bare metal. I'm using U-Pol Acid etch #8 as that is what I already have available from painting bare aluminium. It appears to work on some test patches with a couple of coats on it but I want to be sure before painting everything and finding that it doesn't work.
All advice welcome!
Thanks
