evening chaps, quick question to any plumbers out there -

Very roughly how much would a new Combi boiler heating install cost for a 3 bed bungalow, including swapping from an old system boiler and moving the boiler to a new location. All new rads and pipe work, controls etc.

Not looking for anything exact just a ballpark figure if possible

    Thanks!

Few jobs I'm doing in the next couple of weeks, all normal boiler to combi

    £2800
    £3300
    £3500
    £3800

    All including vat

    Massive variation depending what's involved

It’s a smallish very average 3 bed bungalow, rooms are average size, certainly nothing massive - sorry I’ve no idea about boiler size. I do appreciate it’s not much info, just looking for a rough range of prices.

@Kayos, thanks for info - do those prices include new rads etc as well?

They all consist of boiler, cylinder and tanks out, new combi in, gas upgrade, condensate pipework. The top price one includes rad valves.

The cheaper 2 the boiler is in place of the existing, the other 2 the boiler is being moved.

The £3.5k one is an empty house or it would be priced a bit higher, however I can do most of the work in one day then just flush the system and finish off on day 2

Have combi boilers evolved since the days of taking a shower and getting scalded when someone decided to was dishes at the same time?

I stuck with HW tank and shower pump myself!

More down to the showers these days but yes, decent flow should prevent that

Nothing wrong with keeping the tanks, combi is a common job but not 1 size fits all

For comparison. New boiler installation (not combi) with 3 new radiators drain and wash through. Hive lookalike control system £5k

    Gas Board

    Cheers

British Gas quoted me over £7k....that was just for the boiler (was maybe 5 years ago)!

Local plumber (mate of my spark) did it for £3k....that was just boiler moving and replumbing the gas...I did all the radiators myself....that was with the London weighting of course!

Think mine is a HW tank with a pressurised radiator side....plumber said that would work better for the flow if I ever did a loft conversion.
