Car Booty.

Seem to do alright with car boots for tools. Woodworking tools vices tool boxes.
Decided to take a wonder down this morning as its a 5 minute walk from home. Clocked a load of old lathe bits and made a beeline. 15 quid later and I've a nice box of booty. A little surface rust but a quick clean and oil and there tidy. Taps are in v good shape most look unused made by Whit Warrior. Reamers? are in good nick. The swarf I cleaned up looked to be mainly brass. Walked around the corner and found a nice DTI made my day as the eBay special that turned up yesterday wasn't great. Will fit straight on the clamp so its a bonus. All that and a few clamps and scribes for 20 notes.

What's your best car boot finds then. Missed out on a BSA bantam for 100 notes last summer. Gutted.

Nicely done. That's a good haul for a score.
I don't get to them often as I'm more trying to get shot of stuff than bring it home lol. I did have a right result once when I was actually there selling loads of old kids toys. I bought an RMS fluke multimeter with all leads in case for £3. Lasted me a year before I dropped it and the screen leaked out. Was gutted because it cost me much more to replace it with something far less sophisticated.

Shame I didn't find a fluke today mate. Been looking for a decent multimeter this morning. There shockingly expensive. Don't really fancy a ten Bob job on 240 though. Just had a massive clean out so I can jusitify collecting ATM.

I would never of bought one like this one I got for its new price as I only ever used it mainly during my welding inspection days for checking arc voltage was in accordance with wps
It was a proper fancy thing did ac and dc voltage and would draw fancy lines and pictures ha way above what I needed. Looked good though when I pulled it out infront of the sparks. At £3 it wasn't staying there.

that's a blast from my past. Bet they would have gone for more today too. My sister sold my old nes and SNES and about 90 games while I was living out of the country for a pittance.

they seam to fetch about the same thiis was 8/10 years ago they have not gone up much one of the others sold for 40 now goes for 45/50 so not much more
