Hi everyone, i`ve recently bought a new mig(LINCOLN ELECTRIC191C POWERTEC) to replace my old machine a cebora, which after 12 years of full time usage simply wore out.....I'd been using co2 shielding gas with the cebora& it seemed to work fine,therefore I assumed the Lincoln would also be fine with co2, but I can't get it to work AT ALL I'm about to get some argonshield & I'm hoping the machine will then work has anyone had similar or the same problem that I'm experiencing, any ideas or help greatly needed &appreciated thanks v much Mikey.

What exactly wont work. Do you mean that the welder lays out wire and the wire doesnt seem to weld properly ? We will need pics or at least a more detailed explaianation of what is going on.
Often when this happens it is the earth clamp that is not making a full circuit. Make sure the clamp is clean and bright where it contacts the workpiece and that it is tight on the earth wire at both ends.
