Okay so here it is. I have a MIG welder and if I want to let say weld 1/8" material the generic calculator o says .035" wire at 280-300ipm 18-19 volts with Amp range of 140-150. I know you do not control Amps so not sure why they list it and I understand it is subject to they welder hence the range. So the stupid question When I put my welder into synergic mode, tell it the wire dia. of .035 it puts the feed down at 90ipm, If I bump up the feed the welds look and sound horrid. If I keep it at 90ipm everyone I show the welds to says it appears I need to slow down. I'm so confused. I am looking to get a class in but it's a five hour drive so I haven't carved out the time to do it yet.
Thanks
