Just in case we fail to get somewhere to live, I have been looking at motor homes and the like for a temporary solution. Now I really don't want to drop 65k on a new one but I am looking at purpose built ones and they really hold their price tag.
It seems 17 - 20k gets you a 15 - 17 year old examples from dealers.
If I am to look at EBay, what (apart from the usual issues with buying from there like it doesn't exist etc) are the mains things to look for on a motor home? I am ok with vehicles in general (I drive and maintain a 34 year old landy )and I am ok with negotiating around the fake adverts etc.
What I am really after is things to look for on a motor home specifically. I have never owned or indeed driven one so this part of the game is new to me!
Any advice from those who have actually bought one or are in the motor trade would be great
Cheers

Just to preempt the questions, I don't want to build one or have a 'stealth' van, I am only looking at purpose built ones
