Single Cut vs Double Cut Carbide Burr
Carbide Burrs or often recognized as Rotary Burrs for metal are widely used for cutting, shaping, grinding, removing sharp edges, burrs, and excess material (deburring). They perform the rapid removal of excess material on metals. The carbide burrs are also used in the removal of unshaped edges...benchmarkabrasives.com
That is my main concern, but never tried.^^ With only two flutes, wouldn't it be prone to snatching and difficult to control?
Ok, thanks.Bear in mind Burrs are a carbide head brazed to a strong steel shaft. A carbide shaft will just shatter.
Did you make it to "High Strength Steel (HSS)"?That article is written with terrible english. God that was hard work, i gave up.
My Katsu due grinder started to only work intermittently on Thursday, so I took it apart yesterday. The wiring inside is shocking (pun intended). Two connections were just wires twisted together and heat shrink tubing slid over the join. Thing is they hadn't applied any heat so the tubing slid back and forth exposing bare wires. All soldered up now and heat shrink correctly applied. The little beast lives once more. I love this little tool, just not the Chinese lack of electrical safety.I have the Katsu one with a chuck and speed control. It's done everything I've asked of it and was less than £30.00. Can't complain.
