Hi all
I've just joined the forum because I hope someone can help me. My trusty old Butters Autotig has now developed a fault. I cannot adjust the amps? It seams to be stuck in the middle of the amp range. I have checked the potentiometer, but it seams to be ok? Tried to check the output from the circuit board, but my multimeter decided to die. Not having a great week!!!
I have to admit to having no idea how these electronically controlled welders work? I'm asking because as this machine was built in 1992, it cannot be that complicated, can it?
I have had it from new and it has been a great machine over the years. It would be a shame to weigh it in.
Hope that someone can help.
Cheers Mick
