right I'm building a new ramp for a 3.5ton lorry for myself.
I'm thinking of making it out of angle iron like the old rice Europa trailers
thinking of making my box then using 1 inch marine ply so that sits inside the box and bolted to the back of the angle iron if you get my drift so wood is like counter sunk into the iron.
the size is approx
lorry is 2 meters wide and 9ft high
what angle iron do you recon i would need say 2inch wide or will i get away with 1.5 inch.
load will be approx max of 600kg walking up it
other type i could do is like this ramp but what size box section would i need as i think 2x2 looks way over the top any input will be great
i have also added a photo of another lorry with a ramp down so you can sort of get a idea how the load will be transfered onto the ramp
