Are there certain specs that a machine should have to be able to braze succesfully? I have a Clarke 151 TE Turbo (not the best thing in the world I know) but it does the job! Does anyone know if it is up to the job of brazing a brass vacum outlet onto a mild steel manifold?
I understand that I require silicone bronze wire and argon gas, but is it advisable to change the tip for a new one? and does it need to be the same as if i was using steel? (nozzle size compared to wire).
Also the same goes for aluminium!! As I have an alluminium outlet to weld to an aluminium catch tank tank. Or should/can I braxze these also?
Many thanks for any suggestions.
