I am mounting a PTO T gearbox to a machine.
The input will be via a PTO shaft so no locational support.
The straight on will have a pto to hydraulic pump unit direct mounted on box so again no support.
Under load the box will want to rotate against the direction of the center output shaft.
I have used 4 bits of 40mm x 10mm strips to hold gearbox in alignment to the device.
I am thinking of diagonal bracing those 4 bits (red line on pic) with some more 40mm x 10mm.
Do you thinks thats enough to hold 40hp or should I also drop a leg down & bolt to the base?
Hope the pic make sense.
