Doesn't look like it.
MK asked the same question a couple of years ago and got very few answers back then so it looks like you're on your own.
Thought the auction ended a few days ago..or did you buy it?
Been in touch with the chap selling BUT was waiting for some help off the fourm members !!! SO looks like fourm members HOW many HUNDREDS of members and nobody has one of these or knows about them,,
Why all the caps and exclamation marks John?!!!
Not too keen on the tone of that post at all, you've been on here long enough to know that it's a good, friendly forum and that if anyone can help then they will.
Posts like that won't help you at all.
SORRY,,,,I Didnt mean it to sound stroppy :ashamed , I just carnt understand how many members this fourm has and nobody can help me, As i am unemployed i dont have much money to spend on a welder as spent most of my savings
taking welding course at colledge last year and the start of this year , ive got mig/tig/arc level 1 and tig level 2 run out of money so couldnt do arc/mig level 2 thought i would be able to get a job better if i could weld with the certificates , This is why i am asking about different welder as to try and get some practice as most of the welding jobs are for stainless steel and alnminium and never done any of this before,,
Many years ago I worked for a company that used transtig add on units in production welding bays, I refrained from answering your post because it was a long time ago and I rarely used them, being lucky enough to be in charge of half a ton of an ADR tig set,
However from what I can remember they were hooked up to DC rectifier sets and worked in a production environment running all day non stop.
This is a scan from an old BOC brochure, not the same model I know but similar.
Sorry, only just caught this thread. THF 450 was *only* HF and gas valve. Should run from 240V (check voltage selector on the rear). This unit was designed to be used with a separate contactor and suppressor unit in a 'stacked' configuration.
If all you need is HF and control of the gas, you may be able to make this work with a DC output welder but remember it's very old and may not work.
HTH
