Hey
I picked up the following welder as a bit of a bundle, mainly for the pickill bantam/oxford ARC it came with,
gave the ARC a bit of a service, new oil and a clean and it works perfectly,
now the following TIG set, I have NO clue about, I am pretty confident in how it *should* be wired up, but any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated,
I have a modern TIG torch to replace the torch hanger/gas control/water control, from looking at it there used to be a switch on the back of it, I am assuming that this is what initiated the machine?
The plan was to get a modern electronic gas solinoid to start the gas,
I am also assuming that the oxford/pickhill was the welding power source, appart from the DC surpressor box, everything else has a 240v 3 pin UK plug input,
The blue box appears to be considerably more modern, again, assuming the HF set puts out AC, if steel/stainless wants to be welded, it would have to go through the box?
My thoughts on wiring would be:-
Oxford -> control/contactor box -> HF unit -> AC/DC unit -> Torch ( assuming steel to be welded )
I do have access to a modern R-tech AC/DC TIG unit, this is just more of a play thing
Cheers
Ross
