Just purchased this to convert my Mightymig from disposable to refillable but not 100% how it connects?

Does the brass nozzle on the left connect directly to the bottle? If so does that not mean the gauges will be on this side??

you got it Angus ,connector on left attaches reg to bottle,gauges out sideways

So the gauges will be at a 45 degree angle? That seems a daft design!

CO2 cylinders have the outlet pointing out sideways so the whole regulator will look exactly as it does in that photo.
You do realise that IS a CO2 one? It won't fit argon/co2 mix cylinders without an appropriate adapter.
This is the one for argonmix, as you can see it's got a different connector and is designed to be fitted to the top of the cylinder.

Wozzaaah.......yeah, I doubled checked that i got the right one. My landlord is going to sort me out with a CO2 bottle for £15.00 and fill it when needed. I know that the weld is better with a mix but to honest, I am so knew to welding I really think i should walk before I can run. Plus I don't have to rent the bottle and it should helpfully last me longer.

The outlet is on the side of a CO2....that makes sense now cheers for your help.

I can't say it is on the side on all cylinders but it certainly is on most.

Oh well, if it isn't then i will just have to tilt me heeed when i need to read the gauges. Just need to find some plans for a welder trolley now, that's going to be my first project.
