went out to do some practice today and my mig wouldnt give a smooth weld at low amps tryed everthing wire speed up and down tryed going closer wit the torch still woldnt stop the arc stuttering had wee look at te tensioner too tight then checked the liner it was all mangled at the roller put a plastic liner back in is this wise

If you are welding with steel wire I'd be inclined to go for a steel liner - much less resistance and you can lift a lot of tension off the feed rollers. If you were to do that a new swan neck liner could be an idea as well - they get blocked up by bits of plastic. About £25 for the kit.

Though if the new plastic liner works then no troubles.

seems to move more freely now plus had the amps up and down going to replace it with a steel one in the new year had the plastic liner lying around so thoght id use that
