Black and Decker BESTA530-GB single line strimmer, reloading an empty spool.

'Er indoors bought a refill and had a go at refilling the spool. Not sure what she did, but apparently it was all over in seconds. ( another unrelated complaint of hers too apparently!). My guess is that the line needs to be fixed to the spool somehow and then wound on against the motor direction. It has now become my job after I blithely told her to look it up. I have "looked it up" and cannot find a single expanatory page in words and pictures, not one. Hundreds of videos of course for the literally challenged, but nothing else.

Would someone be kind enough to point me at such a guide, or explain how to do the job please?

Is there not a you tube video for your model number. On mine a single line is used with two cutting ends, so one line goes through the center and is wound on. Its an auto cut head

Lots of them. That is all that I can find; which is the problem that I am looking to solve.

I can't help but feel that, maybe, your post title should have a question mark at its end, given that you are, indeed, requiring an answer, rather than just making a statement about strimmers.
