Popped over to see new member @Karel today.

He recently got a lovely little ESAB Rebel setup.

We went through all the setup of Mig and Stick. Took to welding like a duck to water. Especially stick. Nailed lap joints and fillets within a few goes.

Not seen many people pick up a stinger and hold a consistent arc gap or strike a rod properly first time. All we had to work on really was body positioning to maintain the correct rod angle.

Top guy and look forward to seeing him in a few weeks to have a little bit of tig tuition when he welds his new fixture table up.

Good on ya, Brad - always good to pass skills on, I reckon.
And a bit of a boon for Karel, too - very handy to get some direction at the start, especially on TIG.

    All the Best,
    CJ

One to one tuition with someone that really knows their stuff is just absolutely priceless. Nice one Brad.
@Karel your job now is not to let it slip. Keep on with the practice, use the tips and advice shown to you regularly and all will become second nature.

That's good of you Brad  I'm sure we could all do better in passing on knowledge and experience to someone from time to time.
