My initial guess given the different sizes is that the op would need something about 4 x to 6x the strength of yours....Mines home made. Does 2mm over 800. So it would only be a case of making it bigger/stronger to suit your needs. Mine is vice mounted but you may need to make yours bolted to the bench given its size.
Would it be possible to build a sheet metal bender that could bend 3 mm sheet 1500mm long or would it take too much force to make the bend? Thanks
I hope the bench is more substantial than 25x25x2mm.For the avoidance of any doubt, these are the sort of forces your structure must be capable of enduring.

Same here, again on 3mm sheet at around 1.5m length. Think I even have a video of it...Depends on the application of the finished item... But I've managed clean results by in effect 'scoring' the fold line using a angle grinder to cut down to 1 to 1.5mm thickness along the fold line. Then fold. Then weld the resultant groove. Tidier than a cut -n - shut ... Especially if the groove and welding is on the less visible side.
