Makes no odds to me. Customers pay the electric bill.I was just wondering what does the panel think is it cheaper to recharge battery's or just plug in to mains for drills and grinders etc ?
I do prefer the freedom of cordless tools
same hereI use both and depends how much time i have to set up as to what i use, quick jobs i use cordless if it drags on i go mains powered.
Need a new mitre saw so I'm gonna venture into flexvolt. Not much price difference to mains but I can spend a bit more for a mains adapter for it for heavy use ..I have some 24v drills which are OK and last long enough for most jobs on the hoof, grinders /saws I have found to be underwhelming and a bit greedy on the batteries for anything other than occasional use. The 18/20v gear I have is not bad but I don't really expect too much of it. The Stihl chainsaw cordless batteries dont do too badly but they are big.

Thats oneway to reduce your tax bill, buying a full set of flexvolt toolsNeed a new mitre saw so I'm gonna venture into flexvolt. Not much price difference to mains but I can spend a bit more for a mains adapter for it for heavy use ..
Good excuse to try the flexvolt grinders
Only other flexvolt tools I'd be interested in really is a track saw but my 18v is ok for the taskThats oneway to reduce your tax bill, buying a full set of flexvolt tools
corded for things you use rarely as the batteries will die if left for extended periods

Indeed. If I go this way ik start retiring my old 110v gear and get a 110v adapter for the flexvolt gear gives me the longevity when neededThe fact you can get a mains adapter is a win win.
