Yes thick copper works very wellIs that a piece of copper you are using as backing? Looks like a good repair.
looks like it i am not in to old bikes just weld up casingsWorm drive for the clutch?
Worm drive for the clutch?
The threaded bush is actually a replaceable part. We used to have loads of them. Very few owners seemed to bother to replace them though.
Some say its harder to get paid for the repair than actually do it when dealing with classic bikers
Surprised the owner didn't just replace the castings, bantam bits were are cheap.
i would put every bantam in a skip best place for them ! i dont know how some lads get all misty eyed about them ,easy maintenance no !you have to slit the cases to change the gear change return spring and them wipac flymags spark occasionaly
I have a ridiculous soft spot for bantams as my first proper bike after my FS1E was a D14/4. The power was breathtaking, and I went everywhere on it, commuting from Tiverton to Tavistock every weekend. Breath of fresh air after the moped, and it would keep up with things it really shouldn't have!
Terrifying!Do you see the money fizzies go for these days
