I recently bought an auto darkening mask with an advertised light to dark time of 1/30,000 second, upon looking at the user manual it said that the switching time was <0.1ms (+23.C) which I believe is 1/10,000 second.
I thought that I had been duped into buying a mask that wasn't as quick as I was led to believe and told the seller so, they replied saying that it is the information that they were given but would check with their supplier.
Apparently the supplier replied saying that the time in manual was at 23.C but at higher temperatures the switching time can increase to 1/30,000 or even 1/40,000 second. Have I got it wrong or am I being told a load of bull?
