Hi.
I had my argon sorted out but I've been let down.
It was a local supplier who can always get you anything, until you actually want something, then there's always an issue.
Anyway, I digress...
I spoke to BOC today on the live chat.
They are offering me a Y size cylinder of pure argon (20 Litres) for £56.40 inc VAT plus £56.40 annual rental.
Does this seem reasonable on the face of it?
I went to a local Hobbyweld dealer and they wanted £64 per bottle and they are only 9 Litres. I know they are rent free and I can't remember what the deposit was but, that seems really steep.
I went to a local SGS supplier and he's offering me a 20 Litre for £85 plus VAT which also seems very steep.
The issue is, as i'm just learning TIG I don't know how much i'll be using. I assume that because i'll be awful at first that i'll waste quite a bit.
Any thoughts?
Thanks gang.
Paul
