Argon/CO2 Mix Pressure

Hi

I am new to this but I hope somebody can help.

I have a Sealey 150/5 and currently using an Argon/CO2 mix on a disposable bottle and I am thinking of purchasing a pressure gauge for the regulator.

At the moment I am just opening the regulator wide open and as you can imagine, the gas does not last long.

What is the best pressure to run?

Flow rate, rather than pressure, is the quantity most people refer to, mig welding typically requires 7 - 10 litres per minute (lpm).

Most 'flow' gauges are in fact pressure guages, but they're marked up in lpm, which is an approximation.

In all seriousness, the disposable bottles run out so quick, I'd put the money towards a proper gas bottle.
